81. meet the walking tornado
you don't realize the kind of person you are, inside, until you feel yourself around someone you feel comfortable with. comfortable just being you. you know that person? the person who sees the light in your eyes, in the light of twilight and the speck of day?
sometimes you'll forget that they have their own pellets of mush and bleh and blah and ALFJLSDJFLK stuffed inside them. we're all just trying to figure things out for ourselves. and if you say you're not, if you say you've figured things out, then maybe you're lying to yourself.
there's a thrill i feel in letting myself feel a power coarse through me, surging to my feet and to my hands. some might call it pulse. some might call it bounce. i just call it being hyper and energetic.
when i find a desk or a table to work at, i make it mine. i spread. i spread wide. yeah, you could call me a man-spreader, sure. i like to think of it as getting comfortable. getting seated. placing myself down at the center of my map. seating myself.
don't we all need an usher? who's your usher?
that's the secret to it, my friends. you must be willing to leap forward and be your own usher. it's kind of a crazy game, and you'll make a mess. but how else will you know where your seat is?
