82. i said it
i once thought koreans didn't have sex. there, i said it.
don't ask me where this idea came from. and sure. i'm a racist. i'm a terrible bigot of a human being. i'm also korean. so i don't really know what's going on here.
well, first of all, i'm glad i'm a writer. i have an infinite blank space to write my mind and body and soul upon. (except that i'm posting this to the millions and millions of fans worldwide. (seriously, though. why am i posting this to the public again?))
this is freedom. to say whatever. to let loose. to fall, down. and to splash, make a mess, and know nothing of what happens next. freedom. how blankly frightening. isn't it what we all want? to feel unrestrained, unrestricted, unburdened? unless, a burden is what keeps us grounded. what are the forces that keep us walking? you only walk if there's a ground to walk upon, otherwise you're not walking, you're floating.
do they tell you that writing is torture and slavery just as much as it is freedom? it's the kind of torture and slavery that's hard to fathom unless you try it. unless you can imagine. not everyone can imagine, i know. but i believe imagination is a fundamental human right. so come along.
play with me. writing is slavery, writing is freedom. writing is medicine, writing is torture. which is it, you ask? ask again. you tell me, what it is.
me? i'm holding up a camera. it's never really about what you write about, is it? we're all just trying to see the person behind the camera. our eyes fail us, because what story would it be if we succeeded? let us be blurry. let us need prescriptions and glasses. the meaning is in the moral, and the moral is in the lesson, and the lesson is in the mistake and the triumph, and the triumph is in the redemption, and the redemption is in the pain, and the pain is in the damage, and the damage is in the tear, and the tear is in the tension, and the tension is in the force, and the force is in the attraction, and the attraction is in the air. and the air is in the sea, and the sea is in the earth, and the earth is in the core. (lol that last part was a little cringe, not gonna lie, crew.)
