85. man of dilemmas and dreams
i'm in love with the musical maybe happy ending. the soundtrack, the characters, the premise, the emotions, the mood, the set, the lingering colors. i discovered it through broadway, but it was made in korea. and the question i think of when i realize i'm in love with this musical, is would i have still loved it as much if it had only been a local musical in korea and i watched it in korean with the korean cast? if it never left the country and it never got adapted and it never won all the tonys?
the answer is probably not. and honestly because watching it in english, i fully followed every part of the story. there wasn't any missing pieces. although there's probably some missing pieces from the original musical in the process of making the adaptation.
